Emma - Treat Street, SF

"I was in a mac-n-cheese competition earlier and my dish was Connecticut Yankee, so I was red-white-and-blue. Also, it is my most festive dress and I actually have served mac-n-cheese, in this outfit, for a party before. So I wore this before when I served mac-n-cheese and so, it was just a carry-on of the tradition. And my friend Alicia there made this macaroni necklace for me. I wasn't actually wearing this sweater earlier, I put it on as the day got later and cold, the sweater, in terms of my fashion inspiration, is like found things. I've been really lucky in my life to get clothes just given to me like this sweater came from my Mother's attic, my Grandmother's house. Sorry, not my Mother's attic, her Mother's attic and I have a Salvation Army a block away from me, so I find a lot clothes...this was actually from that Salvation Army. A lot of found things, like the shoes, a friend, she was moving out, actually gave to me; she was like, "do you want these shoes?" I feel that I'm the depository for the fun and weird stuff that people don't want. And I love them, these are my favorite shoes, I love the dress and the sweater keeps me warm. I hope that helps you."

I like the rough hewn sweater paired with the festive dress.
