Cool coat. Hem those trousers a bit, trade the trainers for some Clark's desert boots or even better, the Desert Treks and you're good to go.
Though I love, love the Desert Treks and Clarks, in general. I think these leather slip-on trainers work. They have their place in highlighting an outfit and definitely lend a more nautical feel to the outfit (given the pea coat's origins).
Actually, some clunky brogues wouldn't look too shabby either. Dark blue or white Vans "Eras" or "Authentics" would work too. They are basically deck shoes anyway.
