David - Valencia Street, SF
"Mostly it's hot out, but I want to retain some... I'm from New York and I refuse to wear shorts, so that's part of, that's how it happened."
Lovely lightweight blue cotton pants paired with a pocket v-neck with a bit of something extra in that blue fabric panel that just peeks over his shoulders. Good job with matching your eye color, sir.
Casual suede oxfords complete the look.

Nick - Valencia Street, SF
"Today, it was what was just leftover on the back of my chair. But I did see a photo of someone recently that color combo-ed green and blue together. So some of the dark indigos and Japanese fabric, that I was really liking. So I just went with that."
Lovely wash on that denim jacket, great blue layering with tee and sweater, and lovely green olive khakis.
Well-worn casual suede shoes.

Beth - 19th Street, SF
"I grew up in the punk community/hardcore scene and I've always liked pink hair and anime so I guess that's basically it."
I like that Beth's outfit is put together in a traditional silhouette of blazer, skirt, and oxfords. Yet is unexpectedly distinct with her pink hair which pulls the pink out of the floral top and her slightly chunkier for women than traditional ladies' brogues.
The aforementioned chunky brogues.
Samantha - Valencia Street, SF
"Just very into menswear, so I wear a lot of blazers and vintage shoes and things like that."
I like how she has pumped up this outfit with a pink button front and how well the pants match her hair and her gorgeous leather satchel. (I know weird, but it makes the outfit look cohesive to me.)
A look at her very chic oxfords with woven detail.

Jenny - 18th Street, SF
Jenny Odell is doing some amazing work that questions our ideas about consumption as Americans. Known for her work with Google Maps, Jenny is making beautiful artwork that makes me second guess how I'm interacting with my segment of the world. Here, she is wearing a great mix of color and texture. [Side note: Besides celebrating people's sartorial choices, I love the conversations with people I meet in my 'hood.]
A close look at her covetable brogue, monk-strap loafer.

Lucio - Valencia Street, SF
Perfect manscaping (hair and beard), short navy trench with a camo button-up, and jeans with a turned up cuff, just so. This guy is overflowing with sartorial vigor.
A look at his leather oxfords with red laces, implying they are workwear, but (of course) they aren't.

Kare - Valencia Street, SF
Kare is Scandanavian and I love how he does workwear in a slightly different way. He's got the beard, the leather satchel, the chukkas, and the button-front shirt, but notice things like the cut of the collar on the shirt or how that combined with the squared-off bottom of the shirt makes it seem like a Mao-era worker uniform?
Look at these perfectly weathered bi-color leather chukkas. These were made so right.
