Colleen - 14th Street, SF

"I actually decided this summer that my style would be a blend of punk and hip hop. It's more fun when you don't look like everybody else."

I love the chevron pattern on her dress, her heart earrings, and her white belt. Colleen also has a fantastic short haircut. Hmmm.

A closer look at some of her accessories.

Today's theme is vintage fabulous.

Lee - 14th Street, SF

"Anything I can find at a thrift store. I like unique feminine stuff."

I'm thinking of getting a short haircut again. When I saw Lee, I wished that my hair looked exactly like hers. Alas, I'm a bit too nervous to make the commitment. Yet.

Her boots.

"I like taking old stuff and making it rad."

How great is the way she styled her dress? I like that she uses her bra as an accessory, but in a sexy - yet not slutty - way.

A closer look at her blue leather carryall.

Check out her lovely buttery sandals.

"I like European style, particularly French."

I really like the proportions on her top and her rectangular tote.

Charlotte - Haight Street, SF

"Recently I like bright colors, I used to wear dark colors. I like comfort and I like this kind of bead necklace that you can buy for a dollar at the Alemany Flea Market that accentuates your style no matter what. And I like my Casio watch."

I like her pants - a lot. They're the type of pants that BR had in mind when they were designing "the boyfriend trousers", but they had to do it in khaki and put their "BR" stamp on it, so it could be sold more widely.

Closer look at her dollar bead necklace.

See how the pant cuff lies on the trainers?

Jenny - Church Street, SF

"Every day I have a different theme (day to day I dress different), but it's usually a color theme or something playful. Today I'm showcasing this necklace I made, I'm just about to start selling them."

I love the proportions and fabric of her coat. On closer inspection, I love her necklace also. She gave me her card, so if you like her necklace as well, keep up with Jenny here.

"I hate shopping, I do it like binge drinking, I spend a shitload of money on the same day and then I don't shop for two years."

I like how his ensemble is based around brown and blue (not a combo you see frequently, especially the medium brown). Notice how the brown jacket, stripe on shirt and flip flops all match? I debated whether or not to show a close-up of his flip flops, but figure you'd get the idea from the head-to-toe shot.

Iris - Waller Street, SF

"I'm in the mood for wearing things that are shaped like sacks."

I like her rounded collar and the starkness of her black and white ensemble.

She's wearing Escada sunglasses that her sister (who works at a fancy eyeglass store) bought for her.

A view of her white ballet flats.

"Old movies and dance culture."

A simple blue shirt dress with ballet flats and a large yellow leather handbag. I liked the white edging (a bit hard to see in the photo) that gave the dress a little bit of extra charm. This is one of those outfits that would look good on a variety of shapes and sizes.

Sheila - Van Ness Avenue, SF

"I'm trying to get a job so I'm wearing conservative professional."

I really like her coat and how she wears the bright scarf with it. Detail of her lapel pin, scarf and smile.

A peek at her sexy yet professional heels.

Julie - Van Ness Avenue, SF

"This is the fanciest thing that I could put together today. I usually dress like a boy."

I am automatically attracted to the contrast of a female in masculine suiting. (Previously with Eva and now with Julie.) A closer look at her tie with its personalization of a felt creature and her blinking lapel pin.

A view of her black knee high platform leather boots.

Monte - Haight Street, SF

"I know when I see something I like. I just have a sixth sense for style. I'll mix up 70s movie star style with 20s style."

The kerchief around his neck and the jewelry surrounding it (pin on vest and necklace peeking out from underneath) are what compelled me to ask if I could take his picture. I love the way his shirt (sleeves crudely removed!) seems to rise out of the vest with the collar cradling the kerchief. The vest is well proportioned unifying the outfit.

It was nice to look at him and discover another detail as I took more pictures. His sense of style is well conceived, so details pop out. I was looking at his ring and bracelet and my eye was suddenly caught by his seatbelt buckle belt.

Here's a close-up of his cowboy boots and tattered hems.

Kaya - Fillmore Street, SF

"I take a little bit of everything for style."

Her outfit, though all black, has nice touches such as the detail around the neckline and her fabulous espadrilles.

A closer look at her great ballet inspired, platform espadrilles.

Today's theme is leggings under dresses. Though I've done it in the past, I'm still uncertain what my stance is on leggings. These three women definitely know how to make it work.

"Something fun, but comfortable. Just living in the City, getting older, I stay away from trendy styles."

I like her overall outfit, from her sunglasses and hoop earrings to her gray flats - all the proportions are right. I spotted her shopping on Haight and when I asked if I could take her photo, she asked about the blog and if I was local. That's the thing about her outfit, it is perfect for shopping and perfect for San Francisco (layers, flats).

Detail of her green leather carryall with studs.

A close-up of her gray leather flats. I think gray shoes will be my next non-black shoe purchase. I love its neutralness here.

Chase - Van Ness Avenue, SF

"I like when it's windy and sunny at the same time. I like colors. I like contrasts."

I like how she pairs leather and vinyl with a breezy print dress. The toughness of the leather makes the dress less precious and the dress makes the leather less tough.

A close-up of her patent leather cut-out peep toes.

Christina - Octavia Boulevard, SF

"I like Jessica Alba, she always looks cute."

Love her simple bead necklace, wrapped around twice.

A buttery leather handbag.

Punched leather pumps, still practical for walking in San Francisco.
