Gregory - Market Street, SF

"I've always had a taste for class. My parents, they were poor, but they were always rich in knowledge and that trait passed onto my dress."

I like his suit and how he accessorizes with Kangol hat and pocket square. Also? He's holding two cameras (a disposable film camera and a digital point and shoot).

Incredibly awesome shoes.

Vanessa - Market Street, SF

"As far as my style, I like things that are simple, feminine, classic with a little bit of detail on it. That's what I look for when I shop."

I like how she wears her denim and how the sleeve of her inky blue sweater extends out from under her Nanette Lepore jacket.

Lovely sleeve atop lovely sleeve.

A look at her shoes peeking out from under the hem of her jeans.

Alvin - Market Street, SF

"I don't have any particular... I work for Hugo Boss, but it's a mixture of stuff. Pants are Hugo Boss, shirt is Hugo Boss, the jacket is from H&M, the blazer I'm wearing underneath is from INC/Macy's and the shoes are from Shoe Pavilion."

He looks so great, his clothes fit well and instead of belting his trench, he knots it. I also like that though he's wearing a suit jacket underneath, he doesn't look bulky.

Caitlin and Lucy - Market Street, SF

Caitlin: "I'm really inspired by street fashion. I love face hunter."
Lucy: "I just put something on."

I like Caitlin's coat and Lucy's handbag. They both seem to be having fun with their accessories.

Jessie and Stephanie - Market Street, SF

Jessie: "I do a lot of vintage shopping and just mixing some things that are expensive with the cheaper. "
Stephanie: "I love Kate Moss and I like to shop at Urban Outfitters, that's my favorite store."

I like that there is an element of yin-yang in their coloring/cardigans/tops. Part of the reason why I like taking photos of dyads are patterns just like this.

Andres - Market Street, SF

"I just want to be comfortable and cozy. And every part (of the outfit) must fit together with the other parts."

Sometimes (many times), the reason why I stop someone to take their photo are small details. On Andres, it was the way his jeans were cut, it was just slightly different (and perhaps more daring) than the average SF guy would wear. Turns out they're G-Star, but the way the pockets look and the straps on the side created a really interesting silhouette. (We are, after all, a denim town: home to both The Gap and Levi Strauss.)

Colorful trainers.

Linda - Market Street, SF

"It's a Chanel outfit. I really enjoy wearing Chanel, it always stays in fashion, it's comfortable, and it moves well."

I like her suit's form, it's very flattering. I also like her pairing it with a neutral color (bag and sweater).

Oh! The lovely hem of her trousers with pointy heels peeking out. Perfect.

Trinity - Haight Street, SF

"My style is really comfort and I like color. My bag is from the flea market, my shoes are just... I like sneakers that have designs on them. My jacket is Ben Sherman."

I like her Ben Sherman side button trench.

Pretty great graphic Adidas trainers.

Jennie and Carolee - Haight Street, SF

Jennie: "I would say I'm influenced a lot by Japanese style and culture. Also, by new things I find at Goodwill and Salvation Army (stores)."
Carolee: "I think it's the magpie desire to collect the things that you have. It's really simple, so I feel that is happening a lot in Scandanavia and stuff like that. High and low."

I like that they look a combo of San Francisco toughness coupled with Nordic woolens. A bit of fairytale whimsy and a bit of SF, a great combo to battle our foggy weather.

An example of that magpie collecting on Carolee's collar.

Gordot - Haight Street, SF

"The new Indiana Jones movie coming out in May. This vest is my Indiana Jones' vest, this shirt is my Indiana Jones' shirt and this necklace is my Indiana Jones' necklace."

As our weather gets a little bit colder, I'm interested in how people interpret fashion through the use of layers. Gordot does a good job of looking unique and weather appropriate.

Though I'll allow it may be all in the accessories.

Gordot mentioned that he has a pile of Vans and he just grabs two, hence the "Punky Brewster" mismatch style he's sporting.

Karin - Fillmore Street, SF (William Good Launch Party)

"It just depends on how I feel that day. I collect hand-tooled western handbags. I've been obsessed with vintage clothing since I was a kid."

Black and white and great accessories equals fashion gold.

A look at her genuine cowboy boots.

Leona - Hermann Street, SF

"Well this outfit is a mixture of some things I've designed (Enchanted Clothing Company) and some things friends have designed. I like to express my creativity through clothes, through what I'm wearing."

I admire those who have a vision and run with it.

Gorgeous wristlet.

Marcie and Kathleen - Hayes Street, SF

Marcie: "Vintage, probably more 70s, big prints, big floral, bright colors and always a belt."
Kathleen: "My style is mainly vintage, natural, feathers, browns, earth tones."

I like Marcie's 70s inspired dress and how they both pay attention to their accessories.

Ah feather (real and gold) earrings.

Sarah and Josh - Dolores Street, SF

Sarah: "Only thing in our closets that weren't that dirty." [Laughter.]
Josh: "I'd say the same thing. These are the only clothes I own."

I like how she wears a sweater under her cotton sun dress. Also? Big fan of couples who dress in the same color tones.
