Cindy - Market Street, SF

cindy1
"My style? I think it's just comfort."

I spotted Cindy's amazing Gucci heels first and then saw the lovely avian pattern on her BCBG dress.

Red snakeskin is so pretty and bold, make sure to click on the image to check out the small goldplate on the heels.

Chris - Market Street, SF

"I like fur."

I've been recommending shawl necklines on men sweaters ever since May, so to see it worn with shearling is surprising and cool. I like clothing combos that are surprising. His jean wash is also not popular now (so to my eyes looks so cool), it probably means it'll be popular in about 6 months.

I really like his ankle boots, I think if you're a guy and you don't have a pair of lace-up ankle boots, you definitely need some. In an uncertain time, this is something I feel certain of.

Lorraine - Market Street, SF

Perhaps it is fitting that my 1000th post be the one where Lorraine, a fashionist favorite, is featured.

Here she continues to inspire us with her corduroy jacket, patterned Cheap Mondays jeans, patterned scarf tied jauntily around her neck and booties.

A close-up of those booties and the pattern on those jeans.

Cricket - Market Street, SF

"French as well as Middle Eastern."

I like the pattern mixing of her dress, her scarf (worn as headscarf/shoulder scarf combo) and her tights. Everything kept just a little subtle by their muted earthy colors.

A look at her boots and those tights.

Luan - Safeway on Market Street, SF

"My style? I think wear whatever that I like. Whatever that fits my mood of the day. This outfit? I'm gonna go to GoCar (Do you know that?) So I just want something comfortable."

Luan has great accessories, the thick chain around his neck, the man bag, his shoes and glasses; everything well crafted and perfect foil for his spare outfit.

A look at his trainers.

Aya and Naomitsu - Market Street, SF

Aya: "Juicy couture."
Naomitsu: "Rock."

I like how it looks like they had a lot of fun getting dressed. From their accessories (her earrings, the pin on his hat) to their shoes, everything is a bit mussed and stamped with individuality.

A look at how they re-imagined traditional ways of styling shoes (her interesting tights with ornate sandals and his jeans into unlaced up boots). It's always the little things.

Mark - Market Street, SF

"Traditionally in the Spring I like to dress up like a French tourist. Or, what I idealize as a French tourist."

Beyond his colorful slim cut clothes, the beret really does it.

A look at his shoes and very lovely bag.

Lisa - Market Street, SF

"Having to wake up at 7(AM) and having to throw on something really fast inspired my outfit."

Cute suede overall dress worn with a sweet cream-colored sweater. If Lisa looks familiar, it's because we last spotted her on Haight Street amidst a summer vest trend.

Lovely rose colored tights with shoes that toe the line between moccasin and skimmer.

Jennifer - Market Street, SF

"My mood."

I was visually struck by her bold plaid skirt. Which, apparently is just on the horizon for fall 08.

Keyhole patent leather flats with bows.

Christopher and Carlos - Market Street, SF

Christopher: "My Dad."
Carlos: "I just like fashion."

How great is Christopher's overcoat? With unfinished edges to boot. And Carlos looks great with his slim cut suit, pink shirt and striped tie.

Their shoes.

Meredith - Market Street, SF

"This is actually all vintage from Painted Bird. This particular outfit is inspired by vintage, so '50s style."

I like her belted coat and her monotone outfit, accented with those buttery leather boots.

Lovely fringe hobo bag.

Mark - Market Street, SF

"It's really fashion forward, I love the argyle print and the shoes just give it that little seal of approval."

Liking the white argyle and black suit.

A look at his aforementioned white shoes.

Ashley and Louis - Market Street, SF

Ashley: "Thrift stores, whatever pops out at me inspires me. I'm eclectic."
Louis: "Psychedelic rock-n-roll, love, sex."

Umm, all white suit in the middle of the afternoon, pre-Memorial Day? I admire those who take risks. Also, Ashley's dress is very cute and worn with a belt, very much an aesthetic that I like.

Ashley - Market Street, SF

"Basically what inspires my style is looking back at old Hollywood glamour movies. Basically anything, I'm inspired by people."

I love her dress with black lace overlay and her cute round disc earrings.

A look at her lovely shoes and herringbone fishnets (in the middle of the day!).

Julie - Market Street, SF

"Well I make all of my own clothes, but a lot of my style is inspired by Victorian-type things and World War type designs. Like really high waisted, fitted and then fuller at the bottom."

Great very high waisted, very wide-legged trousers.

A look at her shoes peeking out from underneath her trousers.

Lizzy - Market Street, SF

"I wear whatever is clean on the floor. I'm actually visiting some friends now, so I wanted to wear something pretty, I guess."

The cutest black dress with great covetable sandals. This outfit is why it'd be great if we could have hot weather in SF.

I really really like her sandals.
