Wilma: "I sort of make it up as I go along. I've been collecting clothes for 30 years, so I just throw it all together."
Paul: "A little bit of everything. Which is kind of my style anyway. My vision. I don't normally look like this."

Wilma is smoking hot as my own street style image of Bonnie Parker (of Bonnie and Clyde infamy). But Paul is the guy I'm bowing down to here, with multiple mumblings of, "I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy!" He was feeling the punk rock thing so he glued a blue mohawk to his head. You read it right: HE GLUED A MOHAWK TO HIS HEAD. How many of you can say that you are as daring in your sartorial choices? I thought so.

If this is how winter looks in SF, than we're in good shape. Layers and pattern mixing in black and white or layers in a monochromatic outfit look structured, clean, and yet casually put together. Yay for SF!

I like the shot of yellow in visual contrast to her mostly black and white ensemble. And I think it's the striped shirt, but there is something very Tatou's version of Coco Chanel about her (see below).

"Vintage chic."

There is an element of day glamor to Ms. Jillian that I dig. Like she's a real life version of Tom Ford's Gucci when he took Gucci and added a sheen of sexy to every outfit. Yes! Jillian is what the 80s inspired to be, but never got quite right; she knows how to put it all together.


Heeled loafers, snaps(?)/grommets(?) on her jeans (that match the ones on her wrist) and a small vintage handbag.

Warren and Meryl - South Van Ness Avenue, SF

Warren: "Clothes my girlfriend buys for me or clothes that I find."
Meryl: "Unique pieces. I like to rummage and find something interesting. If it's bordering on hideous I might be very interested. I like finding quality items that I can't afford, that are available to me via thrift stores or something. Or I just like something unique or strange."

I love the contrast of couples' or friends dressing. Also, how great is Meryl's blouse? [Answer: So great, it's awesome.] Other cool eye catchers include Meryl's glasses, Warren's pin and Vans.

Meg - South Van Ness Avenue, SF

"I like juxtaposing really soft feminine pieces with more masculine edgier pieces. And I like putting young and old pieces together. Like this cameo is my Grandmother's, it's over a hundred years old and I got this sweater last week."

I like how Meg puts together an outfit that is mostly modern, yet looks good on her, still has personal touches and fits well. An outfit that fits well might be the most important thing ever.

Janna Stark is a fashion designer and stylist that is currently based in LA, but in SF for the summer (lucky us!). Beyond her cute haircut and her way with accessorizing (check out her "Janna" necklace, her shoes and that wonderful handbag); Janna is percolating projects. She's bound to make this SF summer less dreary.

Yes, Maria, I do. I love the extra element of zing with her sparkly green sweater under her black, gray, and white suit. Also, check out the feathers on her wool hat. This was in the middle of a Saturday afternoon, making me suspect Maria is a 24/7 snazzy dresser.
