Doo.Ri - Spring/Summer 2012, Eyebeam, W. 21st, NYC [NYFW]

Every season there is one collection that makes me 1) want to burn my entire wardrobe and 2) replace it with every piece from that collection. This time, it was the gorgeous clothes in the Doo.Ri SS2012. I coveted other collections this season: Mara Hoffman, Derek Lam, Suno, and Band of Outsiders (to name a few), but the clothes were for specific aspects of life, like clubbing or bike riding in the case of Mara Hoffman or going to a nice meal or museum event in the case of Derek Lam. Doo.Ri designs clothes for every aspect of the life I want to live. The rest of my shots.

Leanne Marshall - Spring/Summer 2012 at Helen Mills Event Center, NYC [NYFW]

Remember Leanne Marshall, the Project Runway season 5 winner? Her winning collection consisted of gorgeous frocks that seemed perfect for attending picnics and garden weddings. The sea and nature figured heavily into her inspiration that season. For ss2012, she's back with a new collection that has shots of bright yellow, offset by whites and grays. Thankfully, the gorgeous way her clothes move when a women wearing them saunters, hasn't changed. Marshall is still marching to the beat of eco-design practices, but now calls Brooklyn home.
