"It's kind of built around the socks. They're new and I was like, what am I gonna wear with these socks?"

Hi, nostalgic rayon yorkie printed dress from the mid-to-late 80s. My sister liked this print and had a sweater and a dress with yorkies on it. Nothing like a print to yell out loudly which era it was created in.

"I guess 1970s Americana. Like suburban kids driving around, like, I don't know... I have a conversion van and we hang out in the van a lot and just listen to jams. The 1970s encapsulates this funner time when the music was good and the clothes were good and everyone was pretty cool."

I first noticed Sarah because her legs seem to go on forever in that denim jumpsuit and also, denim jumpsuit. (I am a fan of the denim jumpsuit and own two, which is two more than the average person owns.)


I also like that she has this aura of being from another era and though she references the 1970s, those shoes are straight of Dickensian Victorian England. Which, makes sense, since fashion elements of the 1970s reference Victorian England.

Sasha's mom owns Metier in San Francisco's Union Square. Which might explain why this vintage-esque dress fits Sasha so well. (Sasha is tiny, so I would guess tailoring/ a tailor has a hand here.)

The 80s secretary dress, as long as it fits well, looks great in pretty much any color. The gray cowboy boots lends it a bit of gravitas.

Shanti works at ModCloth with Turi and Lindsay. (Which makes me think they put something in the water cooler or you know, sell fashionable clothing.) I love how her outfit is a bit secretary and a bit cheerleader at the same time. Her accessories of cat-eye glasses and big pendant back me up here.
